One of these days…

I will get to sleep in on a day off.

I won’t drive down to the Cleveland Clinic on my day off.

I won’t pay to park in its garage.

I won’t have to get a chest X-ray.

I won’t need blood work.

I won’t spend time in the hospital waiting room.

I won’t have to answer questions about pain during chewing and swallowing.

I won’t need to have my blood pressure taken.

I won’t have to hear people talk to me about surgery or cancer.

And that day, my friends, will be one of the greatest days of my life.

Very sorry you’re having to deal with tough days like this, Emma! The unpleasantness/collective toll of all of the little things–even parking garages!–that come with dealing with the bigger things can be really overwhelming, I’m sure. Just wishing that “greatest day” comes really soon for you!

    • Thanks QR! Yep, it’s amazing how the little things really can add to it. I forgot to mention that “I wouldn’t have to drive around the parking garage looking for a spot!” Yeah, it’s been overwhelming.

Oh, and great news! No doctor’s appointment tomorrow (my day off!) so tomorrow will be one of the best days of my life! Yay! Yay! Yay! 🙂 🙂 🙂

No trips to the doctor between now and my surgery. 🙂 So happy. 🙂
