Hope, History, and Monte Carlo

Nadal def. Djokovic 6-3, 6-1

He won his 8th (!) Monte Carlo Masters title, an open era record, and his 20th Masters title, also a record. 

And just as important, he defeated Nole for the first time in 8 matches. 

History says, Don’t hope
