I stopped by Claddaugh on Tuesday to celebrate the end of my diet and my return to work by eating some of their mussels. Unfortunately, they are no longer on the menu! 😦
I was very disappointed but it occured to me that I might be able to use this as an opportunity. I might use this as an excuse to make mussels and broth myself. That being said, I’m a little hesitant.
1 Money: How expensive would mussels be, especially for only one meal?
2 The process: I’ve never cooked mussels before. I was reading some mussels recipies and they mentioned “de-bearding” mussels. “De-bearding?!” Apparently, it’s just removing the strings from the mussels, but still…
