Pomp and Circumstances No 1 by Elgar
I heard the Cleveland Orchestra play this piece when I was a child. We went to a children’s show with my elementary school. Our music teacher played it for us in the preparation for our trip. She told us she … Continue reading
Arabesque Number 1 by Debussy
I love this piece of music, and for years, when I heard it in commercials, I would wish I could find out what it is. Thanks to WCLV, the classical music station in Cleveland, I found out! I cannot even … Continue reading
Zadock the Priest by Handel
I heard this song for the first time in The Crown. It is a coronation anthem, which will most likely be performed when Charles ascends to the throne. And yet, according to the Youtube comments, people associate this song with … Continue reading

Bruckner’s Seventh
My mom and I did get to hear Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony on Saturday. It was conducted by Franz Welser-Most. He even wrote the musical guide in the program! He has a real thing for Bruckner. I had never heard of … Continue reading
Te Deum for Empress Maria Theresa by Haydn
I was privileged to hear the Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra Chorus perform this piece back in November. According to the program, this is not for the famous Maria Theresa (one of the most powerful women in Europe and mother … Continue reading
